Your words stay in your browser.

No note submissions. No analytics. Here’s what the demo actually does.

Your note

The demo does not send the words you enter to a server. When your browser allows it, the site saves your single note in localStorage on this device, under the key pebblepad.note.v1. It is read when you open the demo again at the same site address in the same browser profile.

If that storage is unavailable or full, the note remains in the current tab’s memory only. The save-status message makes this clear. Closing or reloading the tab can then lose the note.

Removing and keeping your words

Clear note empties the editor and attempts to save that empty value. Check the status: if saving fails, a previously saved version may remain in browser storage. Clear this site’s browser data to remove stored copies. Clearing browser data also removes normally saved notes.

Download as text creates a file in your browser without uploading the text. Downloaded copies stay wherever you save them; clearing the demo or browser data does not delete those files.

No tracking extras

This website has no analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, third-party embeds, remote fonts, or external service requests. There is no account registration or email collection.

Ordinary website requests

Your browser requests the site’s pages and local assets from the hosting server. The hosting infrastructure may keep ordinary access logs, such as the requested URL, time, IP address, and browser information. This page does not specify a retention policy for those logs. Your note’s text is not included in requests made by the demo.

A local note is not a vault

The demo does not provide encryption or access controls for stored notes. Someone with access to your device or browser profile may be able to read them. Avoid putting sensitive information here, and download a separate copy of anything you need to keep.
